Terms of Service
Feature Detail
Description
The Terms of Service page defines the contractual relationship between Norse Digital Products and the organizations that use the Meander platform. It specifies permitted use, liability limitations, intellectual property rights, termination conditions, and governing law. The page is publicly accessible on the Sales Website so that prospective organizations can review terms before signing contracts, and so that existing users have a persistent reference without needing to log in. The document must be versioned and include an effective date, with change notifications communicated to existing organization administrators.
Sources & reasoning
Explicitly named alongside the other legal pages as a Sales Website core capability (line 223) and covered by the Phase 1 MVP scope entry "Privacy policy og vilkår" (line 337, where "vilkår" means terms/conditions). Required before commercial agreements with any of the four partner organizations can be finalized. Target release MVP per phase-1 evidence.

Analysis
Terms of Service establish the legal basis for the platform's commercial relationships and protect Norse Digital Products from misuse and liability claims. Without published terms, organizations cannot formally agree to usage conditions, making contract execution and dispute resolution legally ambiguous. For the sales funnel, having clear and accessible terms accelerates procurement approval within organizations that require legal review before signing vendor contracts. The document also communicates the platform's SLA commitments, data ownership boundaries, and acceptable-use policies, all of which are evaluated by organization administrators and their legal teams during onboarding due diligence.
Implemented as a static page in the Next.js static-export Sales Website with no backend dependency. Content must be drafted and approved by legal counsel, with particular attention to GDPR data-controller/processor boundaries, cross-border data transfer clauses relevant to Norwegian organizations, and module-toggle implications (optional features may have separate usage conditions). The page must display an effective date and version string. WCAG 2.2 AA compliance is required - logical heading structure, sufficient contrast, and no information conveyed through colour alone. A footer link on every Sales Website page provides persistent access, and the link should also appear in the mobile app settings area.
